PayU appoints Pramod Rao as its new Chief Risk Officer

Mumbai, February 19, 2025: PayU has announced the appointment of Pramod Rao as its new Chief Risk Officer (CRO).  He brings over 27 years of experience across the banking, financial services, and telecom sectors to PayU. His expertise revolves around risk management, investigations, compliance, and security. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles at prominent organizations such as Axis Bank, Vodafone Idea, Citi, IDBI, ICICI, and HSBC. The Economic Times reported today.

At PayU, Pramod will be responsible for shaping and overseeing risk management strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening the organization’s financial and operational risk framework. His deep expertise in enterprise fraud risk management and compliance will be instrumental in further fortifying PayU’s commitment to secure and seamless financial transactions.

This appointment follows several other key leadership additions at PayU in recent months, including Pranav Pandya as Chief Compliance Officer, Dimple Mehta as Company Secretary, Rahul Bharadwaj as Head of Operations, and Ashok Patil as Chief Risk Officer for the credit business.  These strategic appointments demonstrate PayU’s commitment to building a strong leadership team and fostering a secure, transparent, and compliant digital payments ecosystem.
