Equirus Strengthens Investment Banking Platform with Appointments of Hiren Raipancholia and Arnab Banerjee as Executive Directors
Mumbai, August 18, 2026: Equirus, one of India’s leading diversified financial services groups, has further strengthened its Investment Banking platform with the appointment of Hiren Raipancholia as Executive Director & Head – ECM Syndication and Arnab Banerjee as Executive Director & Head – Consumer.
The appointments bring together deep capital markets and advisory experience across complementary areas, further strengthening Equirus’ ability to deliver integrated solutions to clients across capital raising, strategic advisory and transaction execution.
Hiren Raipancholia returns to Equirus with close to two decades of experience in Equity Capital Markets (ECM), with expertise across IPOs, QIPs, OFS, Preferential Issues, Rights Issues and block deals. Prior to this, Hiren held senior positions with Pantomath, HDFC Bank, JM Financial and IDFC Group. In his role as Head – ECM Syndication, Hiren will focus on strengthening Equirus’ capital markets capabilities and deepening relationships across the institutional investor ecosystem.
Arnab Banerjee brings close to two decades of experience across domestic and cross-border transactions, having advised leading companies across Asia, Europe and Africa. He has extensive expertise across Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to joining Equirus, Arnab held senior positions at Nangia Global, ICICI Securities and Daiwa. Arnab did his MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad. As Head – Consumer, Arnab will focus on strengthening Equirus’ advisory capabilities and deepening relationships across the Consumer sector.
