Sexual assault reported in Hamilton
The Hamilton Police Division and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating a sexual assault that occurred Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:56 a.m., in the Five Points area of Mercerville in Hamilton Township New Jersey.

The suspect is a white male wearing a red baseball cap with a yellow colored letter M on the front, dressed in what is described as a brown short sleeve button down work shirt with a PSE&G logo on the right breast of the shirt, beige shorts, approximately 6’ 3” to 6’ 4” with a muscular build, weighing 200 to 250 pounds, blonde collar length hair, with a multicolored tattoo on his right forearm and wearing a photo identification card clipped to his shirt collar knocked on the victim’s door and advised the victim he was there to read the gas meter. The suspect also had a hand-held electronic device. Once inside the victim’s home the individual sexual assaulted the victim. The suspect was seen driving a blue Ford Taurus with tinted windows. The suspect spoke with a British accent.

All residents are encouraged to exercise caution and to request that any utility workers who ask to come into their home show official identification before permitting the worker to enter their home. If residents have any question whether an utility worker is legitimate, they should contact PSE&G at 1-800-436-7734 or the particular utility to verify that they have workers in that area.

If you are unable to reach the particular utility company, residents should call the Hamilton Police Division using “9-1-1”.
